Marbles & a Butterfly

Wow - what a lot of white space!  Sort of out of character for me....but I'm happy with this clean and simple card!
It's featuring the technique we'll be doing at the June Technique class....the Rolling Marble Background.  I haven't done it in YEARS - and it's really so much fun!  I've posted a tutorial HERE from Splitcoast for doing the technique.

Hope your Friday turns out to be fantastic!

Simple Watercolour

I was playing around with the Watercolour Resist Technique.  I found that I don't really have images big enough to do it justice.....so I ended up spreading the colour across the little square.  I like the effect nonetheless.

The sketch today is from Hand Stamped Sentiments

Hope your Wednesday is wonderful - we've got beautiful blue skies here.
Thanks for stopping by.

Unforgettable Henry

Hello everyone - welcome to a Colour Challenge day at Sunday Stamps - It was my turn to pick the combination this week.  I rarely use these colours, and since we're under so much snow here, I thought a bright combination was in order.
I used three stamp sets for this creation - Beyond Plaid, Henry Says, and Clockworks.  So Henry has been cut out after being stamped on the herringbone design.  I can't believe that I've only just opened up the Tea Time Trinkets...they were one of the first things I purchased from the Occasions Catalogue.

The sketch I've used comes from Freshly Made Sketches this past week.
Here's the colour combo

Have fun creating - be sure to link your project back to the Sunday Stamps Challenge blog so we're able to take a peak.

We're off to see "Billy Elliot" tonight - totally excited for that.
Hope you have something to look forward to.
Thanks for stopping to visit.

Sunday Stamps Affection Collection

I'm so sorry this posting is late - I was in an area that was not computer friendly this weekend and then forgot about things what with Sunday Family dinner last night.  So I apologize!

This weeks' Sunday Stamps are my  choice of colours this week - Gumball Green, Marina Mist and Soft Suede.  When I picked them for the challenge I was thinking fall - but then my card turned into a card for my husband.  I'll be giving it to him next week for our anniversary.

I used the Affection Collection set for my creation - using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get all the "Love" lined up on the Soft Suede piece.  I also enjoy that linen ribbon for stamping on!

Give these colours a whirl - the girls on the Design Team have some fabulous creations to inspire you! Don't forget to link your creation to the Sunday Stamps Challenge blog so we can take a peak at it.  You may be selected as a Guest Designer.

I can't believe it's October now, and with the things I've written down on the calendar I can tell this month is going to fly by!  Thanks for stopping by!

Kiss, Kiss, Kiss

Ooo - Ooo - Ooo - I must say I was tickled pink when I saw the challenge over at The Paper Players today.  I have been waiting for a pink challenge so I could pull out the "lip stick" for this stamp.  Allison is the one who wanted this stamp - but we share. The colour challenge at Paper Players is - Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Regal Rose.

I used my craft inks for the lips and then covered them with clear embossing powder so they would shine.  I am loving the font for the "Hand-Penned Holiday" stamps which are coming up in the Holiday Mini.

I must say that this card is a duplicate of THIS ONE I created with the  butterflies.

I spent yesterday afternoon re-creating the paper flowers from the July Stampin'Success front cover...I added a few extra colours of my own - I have to "copy" first sometimes before the creative juices start to flow...  I think I will get some floral stems because then they'll bend - these guys are pretty stiff right now ( I used skewers which I sponged with Lucky Limade).  I had fun making them!

Thanks for taking time to stop by for a visit.  Have a great day!
