Framelit Washi Tape

Just a quick post to share what I created this afternoon.  I was playing around with some washi tape today to get ready for my January technique class.
I attached the new Retro Fresh Trio in layers on a rectangle of card stock and then put it through the Big Shot with one of the Apothecary framelits.

The whole arrangement of the card is a bit outside my style zone - but I had a few "oops"s to cover up.

Hope your day is going well - thanks for stopping by for a bit.

I'll Take......Queens

Sunday Stamps hits New York.....I wish!  I'm not headed to New York, but Holly does have a great sketch for us this week!  The Design Team, once again,  has a great selection to inspire you!

I know I will be enjoying this new Soho Subway DSP through this year.  I love the sheet with the different New York sights...so I just cut out one of the "labels" and roughed up the edges to use in the sketch.  I would have used "Manhattan, but it was too big for this sketch - LOL.

I realized that the only ink I was going to have was the distressing around the little banners, so I pulled out the Clockworks set to add a bit of grunge in the background.  I can't wait to get the "Gorgeous Grunge" set at convention....I would have loved to use it on this card.

Here's the sketch.....

Have fun with it - be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created and link your project to the blog for all to enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful Sunday.
Happy Father's Day.

Unforgettable Henry

Hello everyone - welcome to a Colour Challenge day at Sunday Stamps - It was my turn to pick the combination this week.  I rarely use these colours, and since we're under so much snow here, I thought a bright combination was in order.
I used three stamp sets for this creation - Beyond Plaid, Henry Says, and Clockworks.  So Henry has been cut out after being stamped on the herringbone design.  I can't believe that I've only just opened up the Tea Time Trinkets...they were one of the first things I purchased from the Occasions Catalogue.

The sketch I've used comes from Freshly Made Sketches this past week.
Here's the colour combo

Have fun creating - be sure to link your project back to the Sunday Stamps Challenge blog so we're able to take a peak.

We're off to see "Billy Elliot" tonight - totally excited for that.
Hope you have something to look forward to.
Thanks for stopping to visit.
