Paper Pumpkin from March

I worked on the cards from the March Paper Pumpkin this morning - love the little glimmer dots and the wooden words.  The above card is the prototype.

I had tried stamping on the wooden words - and although it worked well, it wasn't a good design for the writing.  A smaller image would work well though!  So, I ended up inking the words - which is a nice way of changing things up to create an assortment of cards.

I used one of the stamps from a previous Paper Pumpkin - stamped in versa mark and embossed in gold. The little people are also left overs from a previous pumpkin.  Gotta love all the little extras you get with Paper Pumpkins.

This time I used the card front as a matt - tore it and attached it to a second matt.  The flowers are from the " Petite Petals" set and the centres of the flowers are done with Tombow Glue and gold glitter.

Hope there something shiny in your day today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkin Catch-up!

After clean up my craft room (again) I got down to finishing off the cards from the February Paper Pumpkin.  I have to be honest and say I found this one a little hard to work with.  But I persevered and created 3 unique cards after I finished the prototype (shown above).

I'm not going to include the  details with the Paper Pumpkin Projects I complete.  I am still using bits and pieces from previous pumpkins.

I will make a note on this one - I added the little rhinestones with the arrows because I noticed, after I stamped, that there was a little heart at that point.  Because I hadn't noticed it earlier, and I wanted the arrows heading to the right - the heart was upside down.  Thank goodness for bling!

Hope your day is going well.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bicycles, Bicycles….

Yesterday I finished working on the cards from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit.  I have to admit that, although I loved the little bike, I had a hard time with this kit.  In the end though I am happy with what I came up with.  I always create the prototype first and then create 3 other original designs.

I used background stamps from previous pumpkins and punched out hexagons halves.

Thought I'd try a diagonal look and added some Gorgeous Grundge.  The little candy dots worked perfectly for this because it is a single layer card.

For the last one, I took the left over pieces from the sticky strips and laid them down - they were all connected at the ends, so it was relatively easy to get them evenly spaced.

Hope your day is going well.
Thanks for visiting.

Seriously Real Life

I started putting together my Real Life book - which was a previous Paper Pumpkin.  I've decided to use it as a miniature photo journal of what happens during the year - trying to capture the special moments of the month…..It's a good thing I took pictures during January and now I'll have to be conscious of events around me through the year.

I made more dividers and pages using card stock and the Kalidescope DSP.  I'm also using bits and pieces of Paper Pumpkin embellishments that I have left over!

I think from now on I may try to print off the pictures I want to use at Walmart so I can get some smaller sizes that would work well and allow me more space on the pages - or allow for more photos.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the year unfolds.
Hope you are having a fantastic Thursday.
Thanks for dropping in.

Noel & More

Sad to say, but I finally got around to playing with the November Paper Pumpkin today.  So, I made the prototype and then went off on a tangent with the other three - I still used the November base, banner and stars - but added  elements from previous Pumpkins - and some upcoming new products.

"You're the Best" comes from the upcoming "Just Sayin'" set with matching framelits.

When I saw the new "Ampersand" embossing folder, I knew I just had to get it for my daughter!

Hope you're having a wonderful Boxing Day.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Wahoo! Pumpkin

I put my Paper Pumpkin cards....from last month.....together today.  I started out making the prototype and then moved on to create other designs using up some bits and pieces I have left over from previous Paper Pumpkins.  Fun, fun, fun!

Using a marker to "divide" the greeting stamp.

Using the "Banner Poles" from a couple of months ago as a perch for the little owl.  I'm using this card today for both the Dynamic Duos Challenge - using Basic Black and Tangerine Tango; and for the My Paper Pumpkin Challenge to use owls and/or textures.
I used the new ornament punch to create the speech bubble for the little owl by carving it up a bit.

I've got a number of things accomplished today so far - still have a few things to get crossed off my "To Do" list.
Hope you are having a satisfying day.  Thanks for visiting for a bit!

Seriously Kicking Booty

I'm so ashamed - I got my Paper Pumpkin last week and didn't get to making the cards until yesterday.
Excuse - I am getting ready for the Fort Saskatchewan Trade Fair - and then I got the flu on the weekend... I haven't been sick all school year, and my husband pointed out I've now been either sick or recovering for a month.
So - I'd say it's time to Seriously kick some booty and get over it!

I love this "Seriously" stamp!  The card above is the prototype (except that I sponged the rectangle piece because I got a bit of a halo on it when I stamped the words)
I also love the buttons that came with this kit - they're a bit heavy, but I love the feel of them.

For the second card, I stamped off the word before stamping it on the die-cut banner using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I did actually sew the button onto the cardstock with the twine that was included, before attaching the little heart with glue dots.

The "Bootiful Occasions" boot got inked with a marker to avoid it's greeting and I added some bling.  To get the wavy banner, I simply traced the existing banner.

Finally, since we're centering on the Paper Pumpkin, I decided to use the splatter stamp from last month  after cutting out the Vanilla portion of the die-cut banner.

Hope you have a fantastic Tuesday.
I am UBBER excited because today I have my first Team Canada meeting.  I'm not even sure if I mentioned it before, since I got the invitation when I was flat sick in bed....

I was invited to join a team of 150 Canadian Stampin'Up! Demonstrators to work toward making the  experience of being a  Stampin'Up! demonstrator more rewarding in Canada.  Woooo Hooooo!
Totally excited.
Have a great day yourself and thanks for dropping by.
