Evolution of a Scene

I'm posting today's cards in reverse order from how I created them.  I have a bit of a hard time working with this type of stamp set so I have to muddle along, make a number of mistakes, until I get the hang of it.  I'm happy with the final result.  Most of the elements from the stamp set have been used.  The sky was coloured in with ink (Balmy Blue) and an aqua painter BEFORE I added the trees.  This is actually the second card I made of this scene - the first one I tried adding the sky colour after stamping the trees and ended up with a very muddy sky!  Lesson learned/remembered.

I decided that I'd started stamping too far up on the card for my first attempt; so on this one I've come a bit lower and I've added some grass and leaves to the scene.
I initially thought that using a smaller space to stamp in would make using these stamps easier - not necessarily so.  I ultimately preferred using a 4"x 5.25" piece of cardstock.

The My Meadow stamp set is available in the new Mini Catalogue.

That's it for today,
Thanks for dropping by.
