Global Snow

Gotta love supportive husbands!  Mine came home this afternoon, and after the usual "Make a Card!" greeting - I showed him what I had done.  "That's nice, but..."  And then I noticed - I've got animals from two different poles - so we decided that it was globally friendly!  LOL

I used the Crayon Resist technique to keep the polar bear & penguin tummy white while sponging Marina Mist onto the Glossy White Paper.  Over at Hand Stamped Sentiments you could use the Shaving Cream, Crayon, or Popping Pastels as a technique for your project. The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches.  I suppose in hindsight I should have used the snowflake embossing folder, but I was using up pieces of embossed paper which I already had.

I've been busy planning, cutting and prepping for upcoming events.  It's a busy time of year - but lots of fun too.  Hope things are going tickety-boo for you this weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

The blues with the white makes a wonderful color combo. I laughed at the different poles. I would have never thought of that. The crayon technique works so well with this. The snowflakes are a lovely detail. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Crayon resist? Brilliant! I wouldn't have thought about them being from two different poles, but my husband would have totally caught it too! I just know it's cold where they live and that's good for me. :o) Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

Great card! I love those images and what a great idea to use crayon resist. I would have masked the but this makes sure the image stays white. Thanks for playing with us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I LOVE your card, this was my VERY first technique I learned at my first card class. It is what made me fall in love with card making. I thought it was so cool that something so neat and easy made a card look so amazing. Thanks for playing along with us at HSS!!

Ahhh...crayon resist....another technique I haven't done in a while. What perfect little creatures for this technique. I would never have known that they are from different regions...they're both from cold climates, right?! :) Thank you for sharing your super cute card at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Joan, your Post made me chuckle about including "bi-polar" animals on the same card. Haha! Love all of the cool blues you used along with those snowflake accents. Very nice! Have a great day! Hugs! :)
