Starry Thx

My first project of the day was to complete the Friday Mashup - and I combined it with the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch.

The MashUp this week is…
  1. Create a project with "Stars."
  2. Create a set of "Thank you Cards with Matching Envelopes"
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a set of "Thank you Cards & Envelopes using Stars."

I used the little star from the Thinlits Circle Card - I wish we still had the star punches…..I used our retired one for the embellishment.  The top large star is a piece of card stock covered with the gold striped washi tape and then punched out in the star shape.

The small star from the Sale-a-brations Banner Blast set was used to add stars to the matching envelope.  I love matching envelopes - rarely ever have plain ones!

Hope you accomplish all your plans for the day.  Thanks for taking time to stop by!

Buttercup Monster

WooHoo Wednesday! I love seeing what the Freshly Made Sketches gals have every week.  They never disappoint!
I love the pennants framelits that we have now and I am having fun combining the Word Bubble framelits with words from sets other than the set they match.  I pulled out my little Monstermaniacs again - they're just so cute.  I managed to fussy cut the eyelashes, but there was no way I was going to attempt the antennae!  She is popped up on the card.
I couldn't think of any sort of embellishment I wanted to add, so I used one of the pieces from the Circle Card Thinlits to get some small chevron shapes that fit perfectly on the embossed piece.  These little pieces are also popped off the card.

Hope your Wednesday has had something in it to make you cheerful.  Thanks for dropping in for a visit.

Happy Anniversary Card

Today I thought I'd share the anniversary card I created for my husband.  I sort of giggled when he opened it and started playing with it.  Flippy cards are a fun thing!

I used the Thinlits Circle Card die and elements from both the label and the circle die sets.  The letters are an old retired set!

Because I wanted to be able to have space to write, I lay the end of the card stock on top of the die like I explained a couple of weeks ago HERE.

I'm hoping to get a lot of crafting and stamping done today - and some arting also!
Hope you day has plans that keep you busy and happy.

Thanks for dropping by for a visit!

Thx

Hump day is nearly over, and I have been busy with workshops.  Here is a card I did with a group of women for a class, and for my team meeting with my downline.

I still need to play around a bit more with these thinlit dies - but I'm getting more comfortable with working with all the little elements.  Don't get me wrong - I love all the little elements - I just don't always get them put together in a way I like all the time.  But I am happy with how this fall thank you turned out.

And here is a little guy I am truly truly thankful for!  I took Elliot for a walk in the woods a couple weekends ago while I was babysitting.....teaching him how to shuffle through the leaves - which is something I anticipate doing every fall!  I LOVE IT!

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, here in Canada - I hope you have something you are truly thankful for in your life.

Thanks for stopping by -
