New York Trio

My husband asked me to make three thank you cards for him to give to the people who were responsible for our being able to take a trip to New York.  I was thrilled to be able to use the Soho Subway paper - it worked perfectly.

I went to one of our retired sets to get the little apple, which I embossed with Cherry Cobbler ep.  For the envelopes I inked up a clear block for the "background" for each letter to match the card.

Here are the other two....

Off to school - Hope your week is working well for you.  I'm almost to the point where I can start stamping for myself in a relaxed sort of way!  WoooHooo.

Enjoy the hustle and bustle.  Thanks for stopping by.

Fall Thank You

Thought I'd take a quick opportunity to do a challenge before continuing to get ready for my card camp on Saturday.
I picked the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments - pretty straight forward and fun.  I added a couple extra embellishments.

I finished my fall banner for my entry way - which I cased from Michelle Zindorf - so I've done a lot of sponging  lately.  I keep forgetting to use the doilies we have - and sponging them with colour gets them to co-ordinate with any project!

Here is my banner - I'm happy with how it turned out.

Hope your week it travelling along well - thanks for stopping by!

Flower Shop Trio and Christmas Stack

Today's card features one of the flowers from the Flower Shop set - I love all the designs and it's great having the matching punch!  I've used the Dynamic Duos colours - Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush.  I added the bit of Strawberry Slush ribbon to help perk things up a bit.  I've noticed I haven't been doing much distressing lately - Hmmm.
This is a pretty clean and simple card that would be easy to do for card classes.

I am holding my Christmas in August Stack on Thursday.  Here are the cards we're going to be doing...

I have some of the new Christmas stuff now - so the October and November stacks will include some more of the products from the Holiday Catalogue.

I'm off to continue getting ready for Thursday.  Hope you have a terrific Tuesday.  Thanks for dropping by...Joan
