Doily Thanks

Here I am with my morning off...challenges done, and now off to concentrate on my Newsletter.

I've used the Mojo Monday Sketch for today's card as well as the colours from over at Hand Stamped Sentiments - Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey and Basic Black or another Neutral.  I'm not sure why the colours spoke doilies to me - but there ya go.
ALL the pearls on - but now I'm glad I put them on every scallop instead of every other one.

Well - it's a busy day - so this is short and sweet.
Hope you get everything you want to accomplish crossed off your list today
Thanks for visiting

Monochromatic Doilies

I absolutely love monochromatic cards, so I just had to do the challenge with Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.  The sketch I've used is this weeks' Splitcoast Sketch Challenge.

I dug out my Flirtatious Specialty paper and used the Wisteria Wonder along with Crushed Concord.  It's the first time I've used fabric with my Big Shot - but since it matched I just had to!!!   For the doilies on the Wisteria paper I used white embossing powder.  I didn't want to clutter things up with another punched piece for a sentiment, so I decided to use Staz On to stamp on the jumbo brad.

The first day of school was good - I love doing door supervision in the morning because I get to greet everyone!  And I tell ya - I don't think I'm going to have any problem with working half days!

Hope your day has been fantastic also - thanks for visiting.
