 It's been a busy month since I last posted!  I was busy creating cards for upcoming November workshops and then I just got home from a week in Ottawa, where we were able to take in the Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 11.

 It was a wonderful break, but now it's back to business and picking up the pace.

I will be posting the upcoming workshops but I want to give you a heads up about the...

Love Heat Embossing, You'll Love This...

I think that everybody must have a certain sort of love for the heat embossing technique.  It's just so magical to watch a bunch of dull granules turn into a melted brilliance.  This month's technique - "Faux Metal" takes your heat embossing to a new level and new result.  Rather than having a raised image, we are impressing the heated powder with the image.

Busy Preparing

October Christmas Stack - Friday

Thanksgiving is finished, Halloween is quickly approaching, but some people are looking to get a head start on the Christmas Holidays. Here's your chance to get one batch (15 cards - 3 copies of 5 designs) of greeting cards completed.

I will be preparing packages for this Friday's event either today or tomorrow. As of now, I have no one registered for the evening class......so there is lots of room if you are wanting to attend. There is still some space available at the afternoon class if that works better with your schedule.

Gettiing in Touch with Happy Mail

 

Yesterday, I mailed 63 cards.    WooHoo.  I'm on a mission, at the beginning of this new Stampin'Up! year, to make contact with as many of my customers as possible with Happy Mail - 'cause really - who doesn't like getting a "real" piece of mail instead of just bills or flyers.

There were also a number of my customers who I do not have proper addresses for;  they got e-mails with an invitation to send me their address so I could pop a card into the post box to them.

If you do not receive my  e-mailed newsletters, about Stampin'Up! promotions and my events, and you would like to,  contact me with your e-mail address and I'll add you to my list AND if you send me your home address I'll pop a card into the mail to you also.

Next Week's Coffee and Cards

Last month's Coffee & Cards event was a great success.  I call it a success when the people who attended were able to enjoy a cup of coffee, create a couple cards and be done in just under an hour.  Not much of the day eaten up at all.

October 1 - Beginning of a new Stampin' year!

October 1 marks the beginning of the new Stampin'Up! year and a time to set new goals.  For me, now being a retired woman, I can set a goal I've been longing to meet for quite a while.  That is, to earn an incentive trip.  This year, I will be setting my sights on earning the 2019 trip which is a cruise around the Greek Isles.  Stampin'Up! has always had great trips and you are pampered to the 9's - or so I've been told. I think the Greek Isles is a perfect 1st goal.

Fall Pumpkin Leaves

 Do you get the monthly Paper Pumpkin Kits?  I loved the leaves in this months - especially the intricate die cut gold maple leaves!  The Kit came with note cards and packages.  I made up all of the notecards, as you can see above, however, I'm not in need of the little packages so I cut them apart, heat embossed the dry embossed design that was already on the card with copper embossing powder and added it to the front of a Olive Green card base; using the little leaf stamp to decorate around the edges.
