Easter Bunny

Happy Tuesday - Hope you're having a hoppy day...sorry - it might be a bit early for Easter humour....but it is around the corner.  This card was created for the Friday Mashup challenge this week.
Here is  the Challenge:
  1. Make a project "using the Sketch".
  2. Or Make a project with "Bunnies".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Sketch featuring Bunnies".
I used a piece of the Print Poetry Design Series as the base - I am enjoying this little pallet of paper!   I finally remembered that you can stamp a light colour for a base and stamp a darker sentiment on top....I'm always intimidated by "negative" stamps because I see them as dark....but I worked out of that box today.
The little flowers were created from the Boho Blossoms punch - I do love spritzing flowers with water and distressing them!
Here's the sketch - check out their blog to see the great inspiration by their design team.....lots of awfully awesome cards!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Postage En Francais

I got up with the birds this morning - my eyes popped open at 6:15 and would not stay shut no matter how hard I tried - so I got up and finished the days' challenge post before 9:00.  Which I guess indicates that it took me about 2.5 hours to create this card.

I had tried some emboss resist for the central piece - but that didn't work at all...not Artichoke enough.  I've combined Postage Due and Artistic Etchings for the centre piece.  I love the Postage Due set since I've always had a love for stamps.

The challenges incorporated in todays card are - Dynamic Duos - using River Rock and Always Artichoke.  The camera didn't pick up the River Rock very well; it looks more Crumb Cake!
The sketch is from Splitcoast for this week.

It's a gorgeous Saturday, and since my side of the garage is empty because my son borrowed the van to take the family camping - I just may clean the garage.  It's an annual job that I hate doing, but am always satisfied with when I'm finished.

Hope you get something finished satisfactorily today.  Thanks for stopping by here for a visit.

Perk Up!

I enjoyed this colour challenge from Color Throwdown this past week - Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, Pool Party and Pacific Point.....yeah, there's not a whole lot of Pacific Point 'cause I have a difficult time with that colour - but it's peaking in one tea cup!

The sketch is from Create with Connie and Mary.  I couldn't bring myself to hang the little banners off the paper.  I can go outside the box, but not that far - today anyway.

I went and cleaned up my stamp room thinking I'd be getting a delivery of new stuff this afternoon.  Much to my disappointment the UPS gal did not bring a Stampin'Up! box to the door.  The flip side is knowing I WILL be getting it tomorrow.

Happiness is something to look forward to! (how many of you remember the whole Peanuts series of Happiness is????)
Hope there's tons of happiness in your life - thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Kisses

I have a coupler of challenges meshed into today's card - Hand Stamped Sentiments have a Think Pink Challenge out because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - so I pulled out some pinks and decided I had to use the lips again - and when I glanced at the "Floral Fillers" set, I wondered if I could use the Kissing Technique with the lips - and it worked perfectly.  The sketch is the Saturday Sketch from Stamping 411 and although I missed the deadline for posting a link, there was a die cut challenge at Just Add Ink - so that's why I added the swirls along the bottom.

I noticed once I saw the card on the computer that I added absolutely no bling of any sort - I may have to fix that - add some rhinestones or something.

Below are the next two pages in my anniversary book...
I had fun stringing these little people together.  And one of the main logos for our school board has been the apple with the check mark in it - so that worked well too.  I LOVE the grunge set - especially the little pieces of tape!

This flower page is a case from someone on MDS - I regret not writing down whose ideas I borrowed for a couple of my pages!

It's pretty windy here today - still walked to school though and it wasn't too bad.  I hope your day has been a good one - and thanks for stopping by!
