Off the Continent

Just thought I would drop a quick note to let people know that I will be in Paris for the next 12 days. Hubby has a conference for a few days and the rest of the time will be spent exploring - and being in awe of all the art!!!!!
I'll be stamping when I get back home!

Dalmation Treats

I never meant to be absent again for so long. That Open House must have done me in. I woke up the next morning, went to some appointments with a headache, came home...went to bed.....was able to function again, sort of, on Sunday. Five day headaches SUCK!!!! Doesn't help that Edmonton is in a major cloud/rain trend right now.

I created this card before I was down, and it was for a couple of challenges last week - which I neglected to write down. I believe one was the Mojo Monday.

The choice of spots came from an inspiration challenge based on cakes. Since I love black/white/red, I picked just such a cake. I could only pull off a thumbnail photo of it.

So I will leave you with these dalmation treats for the day. I've lots of chores to do in preparation for a major surprise for my husband and a major trip we're going on. I hope to be back soon because I got some new SU stuff yesterday.

Final question - would you pick a cupcake with white icing or black icing?? Have a good one! Joan

Make and Take

Here is the make-and-take card that guests will be creating at my open house today.

I absolutely love this new embossing folder - the impression is so deep. I've used Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie with the "Friends Never Fade" set.

Just a quick post for today - Thanks for stopping by.

Baby, Baby

Wow, summer vacation hits and I get downright lazy.

I attended Canada Day Festivities at a friend's house who I've coined as a Canamaniac - she always hosts a fantastic Canada Day event.

Quick update on my drummer son - he wasn't given a second cast - he went directly to two different kinds of splints that allow him some movement. He can drive and drum again. My husband and I went to see his band play at a small pub and he did well. There are still some things he can't do with his drumsticks - but he's happy to be drumming with both hands again. Grant is in the splints for 6 weeks and then starts physio. My sincerest thanks for the thoughts and prayers...and ask them to be continued for a while longer.

I'm having an open house and garage sale of stamp stuff tomorrow so that has taken up a lot of my time organizing. Plus - I've reorganized all my paper, inks, markers with the new SU colours.

I did find time to make this baby card - no challenges attached to it though. I've used the new Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breeze. I used all of the little stamps from the "Baby Bundle" set to create the blue piece.

Hope your having a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by, Joan
